Description.
This project holds a deeply personal significance. The client, Renée, an American homeowner, transformed the design journey into a meaningful collaboration that naturally evolved into a lasting friendship.
Located in a modernist palace in Barcelona’s historic Gothic Quarter, the apartment offered a unique opportunity to work within a space rich in architectural heritage. The objective of this historic apartment interior design Barcelona project was to create a refined balance between preservation and contemporary living.
Original features such as high ceilings, intricate moldings, and traditional hydraulic tile floors were carefully restored and enhanced. These elements were paired with contemporary furniture pieces selected for their clean lines and enduring aesthetic, allowing old and new to coexist seamlessly.
Forniture Selection.
The interior concept incorporates renowned Italian brands such as Porada and Lago, chosen for their craftsmanship, material quality, and sculptural presence within the space.
The Art Selection.
Art plays a defining role in the project. In collaboration with Vila del Arte and Alzueta Gallery, a curated selection of artworks was introduced to add emotional depth and individuality.
The Result.
In this apartment, art is not an accessory but a core element of the spatial narrative—shaping the atmosphere and reinforcing the identity of the home.
